Big Brother Big Sisters
5th year for Ontario General Insurance Hockey Tournament fundraiser for Big Brother Big Sisters and Camp McGovern
Thursday November 20th, 2008:
The Organizing Committee of the Ontario General Insurance Hockey Tournament presented a cheque in the amount of $45,000.00 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of South Niagara, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Fort Erie and Camp McGovern.
The Ontario General Insurance Hockey Tournament is an annual event and has been held in Welland and Fort Erie for the last two years but has rotated to other communities for a number of years.
The 2009 event is scheduled for April 17,18 &19.
Big Brothers Big Sisters is very grateful for the support of our local Insurance Industry Brokers and agents who have organized this event in support of our kids and especially so during this time of economic uncertainty.
Presenting the cheque to Mary Iannazzo, President of the Board of Directors for Big Brothers and Sisters of South Niagara, and Sondra Barrett, Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Fort Erie are Bill Steele, Jeff Reuter, Mike Gowan and Jim Larouche of the OGI Hockey Tournament Committee.
